A little understanding goes a long way.

Start with the basics, then choose the questions you want to explore. No homework, just clear answers.

HOW SKIN SCHOOL WORKS

Three paths. Take one, or all of them.

Skin school is a reading list in a sensible order. Begin with the basics if skincare still feels like a lot of steps. Move on to labels and ingredient amounts when you want to compare products, and finish with routines when you are ready to put it together. Every lesson is a short journal article written for a first bottle and a tenth. There is no test and no schedule, only the idea behind VVBETTER: mindful skincare, simple and thoughtful, one moment of focus at a time.

PATH 1 · THE BASICS

Begin with a shelf you can explain.

PATH 2 · THE LABEL

Read a product label in four moves.

  1. Start with the exact name

A full size and a travel mini can be different formulas, and a line name is not a formula. Read the name and size on the box first.

  2. Read the list top to bottom

Ingredients are usually listed from the largest amount to the smallest. Our product pages also state headline amounts in percent and ppm. Here are three questions to ask a percentage.

  3. Ask what the number describes

A big number can describe the base, not the active. In Vita C TRX, 72% is sea buckthorn fruit water, not vitamin C.

  4. Check each claim for that product

Vegan marks and fragrance statements apply product by product. 11 of our 17 products carry a vegan certification.

PATH 2 · IN CONTEXT

Ingredients, in context.

WATCH A PRACTICAL DETAIL

Some lessons are easier to see.

How much is a drop? How is a pad lifted from the tub, and how long does it stay on the cheek? Short videos show application and packaging details that a paragraph can only describe. Creator videos are labelled as creator content.

PATH 3 · ROUTINES

Put it together.

QUICK ANSWERS

Questions beginners ask.

Browse all product FAQs ↗
Where should I start if I have never had a routine?+

With a cleanser and a moisturizer, and sunscreen in the morning. The Blue Line is our base skincare line for hydration, soothing and the skin barrier, a good place to begin. Add one serum for what you notice once those feel easy. The skin quiz and the routine builder can help you choose.

Do I need every step?+

No. A routine is the steps you will actually keep up. Many people do well with three or four, and you can add a mask or pad pack only when you want an extra moment.

What does ppm mean?+

Parts per million. 10,000 ppm is 1%. We write headline amounts in both percent and ppm so you can compare them with anything else on your shelf.

Can I use several serums together?+

Yes. The Solution serums are designed to layer: Succinic (REFINE), then Vita C TRX (REGLOW), then Bakuchiol PDRN (REWIND), 2–3 drops each. Very sensitive or thin skin does better with one serum per routine.
