Start here: choose by skin type and concern

Not sure where to begin? Pick your skin type or your main concern, and we name the VVBETTER products that fit, with the reason behind each one.

Take the 5-question skin quiz →

Which VVBETTER products should I start with?

Start with the VVBETTER line that matches your skin type, then add one Solution serum for your main concern. The Blue Line (5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam, AHA Boosting Toner, Teca Lifting Moisture Serum and Teca Lifting Moisture Cream) is base care for dry, sensitive or dehydrated skin. The Green Line (Jeju Yuja Bubble Cleanser, Balancing Pad, Succinic Balancing Serum and Cera Balancing Cream) is for oily, combination and breakout-prone skin that is also sensitive. The Purple Line adds extra care for firmness and elasticity.

If you would rather answer a few questions, the VVBETTER skin quiz suggests a short list in five steps.

What are the best VVBETTER products for dry skin?

For dry or dehydrated skin, VVBETTER recommends the Blue Line routine: 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam, AHA Boosting Toner, Teca Lifting Moisture Serum and Teca Lifting Moisture Cream. The cream uses 53% centella extract instead of purified water, with 9 peptides, 2% niacinamide, ceramides and hyaluronic acid; the serum adds 8 peptides, beta-glucan and hyaluronic acid in a light, bouncy texture.

On evenings when skin feels tired and dry, add the Rejuvenating Squalane Mask two or three times a week.

What are the best VVBETTER products for oily or combination skin?

For oily and combination skin, VVBETTER recommends the Green Line: Jeju Yuja Balancing Bubble Cleanser, Jeju Yuja Balancing Pad, Jeju Yuja Succinic Balancing Serum and Jeju Yuja Cera Balancing Cream. Zinc PCA, Jeju yuja extract and gentle acids (citric acid and PHA) help with shine and rough texture, while the cream is a light, cooling gel with ceramide capsules so skin is not left tight.

For buildup in pores, use the Gentle Purifying Mud Mask once or twice a week for about 15 minutes.

Which VVBETTER products are best for sensitive skin?

For sensitive skin, start with the VVBETTER formulas made to be gentle: 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam (pH 5.5, coconut-derived cleansers), Jeju Yuja Balancing Pad (with PHA, a slower-absorbing acid) and Jeju Yuja Cera Balancing Cream. Among the serums, the Jeju Yuja Succinic Balancing Serum scored an irritation index of 0.03 and the Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum 0.00 in skin low-irritation tests.

Patch-test any new product on the inner arm or jawline for two nights, and introduce one new product at a time so you can tell what your skin is responding to.

What does VVBETTER recommend for dark spots and uneven skin tone?

VVBETTER recommends the Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum (REGLOW) for the look of dark spots, discoloration and uneven tone. It combines tranexamic acid 3%, the patented MELAWAY complex 1%, niacinamide 2% and alpha-bisabolol 0.5% in a 72% sea buckthorn water base.

In a 4-week human application test (Global Medical Research Center, 22 participants aged 30–59), general pigmentation was reduced by 26%. Our product guide pairs it with Teca Lifting Moisture Cream and a daily sunscreen.

What does VVBETTER recommend for loss of firmness and fine lines?

VVBETTER recommends the Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum (REWIND) for skin that looks less firm and shows fine lines. It holds 1% bakuchiol and 2% vegan AIO Marine Plant PDRN complex in 60% aloe vera leaf water, with adenosine and niacinamide (20,400 ppm combined), notified in Korea as a dual-functional cosmetic for brightening and wrinkle care.

For the eye area, add the Firming Eye Cream; for the last cream step, the product guide suggests Teca Lifting Moisture Cream.

What does VVBETTER recommend for oily, breakout-prone skin and enlarged-looking pores?

VVBETTER recommends the Jeju Yuja Succinic Balancing Serum (REFINE) for excess oil, rough texture and skin that breaks out easily. It combines succinic acid 2% and niacinamide 2% with the patented ACZERO complex of seven plant extracts, in a 60% Korean bamboo water base.

Cleanse with the Jeju Yuja Balancing Bubble Cleanser and use the Gentle Purifying Mud Mask once or twice a week for pores. These are cosmetics, not medicines: for persistent or painful breakouts, see a dermatologist.

Which VVBETTER products help dull, tired-looking skin?

For dull, tired-looking skin, VVBETTER suggests the Teca Lifting Moisture Serum, which pairs 8 peptides, 2% niacinamide, vitamin C and the TECA centella complex for moisture and a soft glow. If the dullness comes with uneven tone or spots, choose the Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum instead.

A daily sweep of AHA Boosting Toner helps clear dead surface cells so skin looks smoother, and the Rejuvenating Squalane Mask gives an extra-moisture evening two or three times a week.

Which VVBETTER Solution serum should I choose: REGLOW, REWIND or REFINE?

Choose the VVBETTER Solution serum by your main concern. REGLOW is the Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum for dark spots and uneven tone; REWIND is the Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum for firmness and fine lines; REFINE is the Jeju Yuja Succinic Balancing Serum for oil, sensitivity and texture.

All three are 30 ml dropper serums, carry a vegan mark and are designed to be layered. See them side by side on compare the three serums.

What is the difference between the VVBETTER Blue, Purple and Green lines?

VVBETTER groups its products into three colour lines plus a Solution serum series. Blue is base skincare for dry, sensitive or dehydrated skin: moisture, soothing and skin-barrier care with hyaluronic acid, peptides, niacinamide and centella. Purple is extra care for firmness and elasticity, with squalane, bakuchiol, peptides and PDRN. Green is the Jeju yuja line for oily, combination and breakout-prone skin that is also sensitive, with yuja extract, zinc PCA and PHA.

The Solution series (REGLOW, REWIND, REFINE) is three serums you can use alone or layer with any line.

What is VVBETTER Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum?

VVBETTER Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum (REGLOW) is a 30 ml brightening serum for the look of dark spots, discoloration and uneven skin tone. Its base is 72% sea buckthorn water instead of purified water, and its main active is tranexamic acid 3% (30,000 ppm), with patented MELAWAY 1%, niacinamide 2%, (-)-alpha-bisabolol 0.5%, adenosine 400 ppm, glutathione and a stable vitamin C derivative (3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid).

In Korea it is notified to the MFDS as a dual-functional cosmetic for brightening and wrinkle care (July 2025). It is vegan certified and scored 0.00 in a skin low-irritation test.

Does the VVBETTER Vita C TRX Serum have clinical results?

Yes. VVBETTER Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum was tested in a human application study by Global Medical Research Center (18 August – 16 September 2025, 22 participants aged 30–59). After 4 weeks of use, general pigmentation was reduced by 26%, surface spots by 5.7% and deeper spots by 2.4%.

Individual results vary. The before-and-after images and charts are on the product page.

Why is the VVBETTER dark spot serum built on tranexamic acid instead of pure vitamin C?

VVBETTER built the Vita C TRX Serum on tranexamic acid 3% because it is a stable brightening ingredient: the serum keeps for 12 months after opening, and the formula scored 0.00 in a skin low-irritation test. Vitamin C is still there, as a stable derivative (3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid, 100 ppm) and in the vitamin B and C complex MELAWAY.

So it is not tranexamic acid instead of vitamin C, but tranexamic acid as the lead, with vitamin C in a form that holds up in daily use. More in our tranexamic acid guide.

Should I use the VVBETTER Vita C TRX Serum in the morning or at night?

Use VVBETTER Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum morning and night: 2–3 drops after toner and before cream, pressed gently over the face. In the morning, always finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen. When you are working on the look of dark spots, sun protection matters as much as the serum.

How long does the VVBETTER Vita C TRX Serum take to work?

Give VVBETTER Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum at least four weeks of daily use: that is the point at which its human application test measured tone. You will notice the light, fast-absorbing texture from the first week; changes in the look of spots build gradually and depend on daily sunscreen too.

Is the VVBETTER Vita C TRX Serum OK for sensitive skin?

Yes, VVBETTER Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum was made with sensitive skin in mind: it completed a skin low-irritation test with an irritation index of 0.00, and it has no added fragrance. If your skin is reactive, patch-test on the jawline for two nights first, and avoid layering it with other brands' strong AHA or BHA products in the same routine.

Can the Vita C TRX Serum help with red marks left after a breakout?

Yes, for the red, uneven look that a breakout leaves behind, the VVBETTER product guide pairs two serums: first Jeju Yuja Succinic Balancing Serum to care for oil and texture, then Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum for tone. Use 1–2 drops of each when layering. Very sensitive skin can split them instead: Succinic in the morning, Vita C TRX at night.

Why is it called TRX, and why the dinosaur?

The TRX in VVBETTER Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum comes from its main active, tranexamic acid. Say it out loud: tranexamic, tyrannosaurus, T. rex, TRX. The name came from the ingredient, and some of our customers simply call it the dino serum.

Firmness, fine lines and the eye area

Bakuchiol, vegan PDRN and peptides: how the Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum (REWIND), the Firming Eye Cream and the Teca cream fit together.

Read about bakuchiol →

What is VVBETTER Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum?

VVBETTER Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum (REWIND) is a 30 ml firming serum for skin that looks less firm, shows fine lines or looks dull. It is built on 60% aloe vera leaf water with 1% bakuchiol (10,000 ppm, from a raw material of over 99% purity) and 2% patented AIO Marine Plant PDRN complex (20,000 ppm), plus adenosine and niacinamide (20,400 ppm combined), squalane and edelweiss callus extract.

What is the difference between vegan PDRN and salmon PDRN?

VVBETTER uses vegan PDRN from marine plants (seaweed), not the salmon-derived PDRN most products use, so the Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum contains no animal-derived PDRN. The ingredient is AIO Marine Plant PDRN, a patented complex (supplier patent No. 10-2249241) made of water, 1,2-hexanediol and sodium DNA. Based on raw material characteristics, the supplier describes it as having a smaller molecular weight than animal-derived PDRN.

The serum carries 2% (20,000 ppm) of the complex and the Rejuvenating Squalane Mask 0.2%. More in our vegan PDRN guide.

Is bakuchiol the same as retinol?

No. Bakuchiol, the lead ingredient of VVBETTER Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum, is a plant-derived ingredient from Psoralea corylifolia seeds that is often introduced as a retinol alternative. It is not a retinoid. It is stable to heat and light and less photosensitive than retinol, which is why the serum can be used morning and night.

The serum has 1% bakuchiol (the 99% figure is the purity of the raw material, not the amount in the bottle); the Firming Eye Cream has 0.1% for the thinner eye area.

How do I use the VVBETTER Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum?

Shake VVBETTER Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum well, then apply 2–3 drops over the face after toner and before cream, and pat in. Use it morning and evening, and finish with sunscreen in the morning. If your skin is sensitive or you are new to bakuchiol, start every other night and adjust to how your skin feels.

The product guide pairs it with the Firming Eye Cream and Teca Lifting Moisture Cream.

At what age should I start a firming serum like Bakuchiol PDRN?

The VVBETTER product guide suggests the Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum from your late twenties, or whenever you want to start caring for firmness and fine lines. There is no fixed rule: choose it when firmness and the look of fine lines are your main concern, and keep a serum for spots or oil if those matter more right now.

What is VVBETTER Firming Eye Cream, and how do I use it?

VVBETTER Firming Eye Cream is a 30 ml Purple Line eye cream with 0.1% bakuchiol, 8 peptides, adenosine and two vitamin C derivatives, in a base of 73% green tea water instead of purified water, with niacinamide 1%, alpha-bisabolol 0.52% and squalane. Twist the top until the pump rises, press once onto your fingertip (enough for both eyes), then pat gently around the eye area, not on the eyes themselves.

Use it morning and evening as the last skincare step, before sunscreen.

Can I use the Firming Eye Cream with the Bakuchiol PDRN Serum?

Yes. In a VVBETTER firming routine, apply the Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum first, then your cream, then the Firming Eye Cream as the last step. The serum carries 1% bakuchiol for the face; the eye cream carries 0.1%, made for the thinner skin around the eyes.

Succinic acid vs salicylic acid: which is better for oily skin?

They do different jobs, and the VVBETTER Jeju Yuja Succinic Balancing Serum deliberately uses succinic acid, not salicylic acid. Succinic acid has a gentler profile, so the serum can be a daily leave-on step for oily skin that is also sensitive; there is no salicylic acid in the formula.

Where VVBETTER does use salicylic acid (BHA), it is in a rinse-off: the Jeju Yuja Balancing Bubble Cleanser has 0.5%. Avoid stacking the serum with other brands' strong leave-on BHA products in the same routine. More in our succinic acid guide.

Shake gently, pump 2–3 times, massage for about 30 seconds and rinse with lukewarm water.

How do I use the VVBETTER Jeju Yuja Balancing Pad: wipe or leave on?

Both. As a daily toner step, sweep one VVBETTER Jeju Yuja Balancing Pad along the skin after cleansing, avoiding the eye area. When skin needs extra calm, lay a pad on the cheeks or forehead for 3–5 minutes as a quick toner pack, then remove it and pat in what remains.

The pads carry gluconolactone (PHA), zinc PCA, Jeju yuja extract and the patented moisture complex MOISTURE TM B (0.5%). The jar holds 120 pads; use it within 6 months of opening. To try it first, there is the Jeju Yuja Balancing Pad Mini Set.

How often should I use a mud mask?

With VVBETTER Gentle Purifying Mud Mask, dry or normal skin should use it about once a week for 10 minutes, and oily skin about twice a week for 15 minutes. It holds British kaolin 10.5% and American bentonite 4% to take up excess oil and buildup in pores, with squalane, panthenol and centella so skin is not left feeling stripped.

Rinse it off at the stated time; do not let it dry hard.

How do I use the VVBETTER Gentle Purifying Mud Mask?

Apply VVBETTER Gentle Purifying Mud Mask after cleansing, on a dry face, in an even layer that avoids the eyes and mouth. After 10–15 minutes, rinse with lukewarm water using gentle circular movements, then continue with toner, serum and cream.

The product guide uses the 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam before it and the Jeju Yuja Balancing Pad and Jeju Yuja Cera Balancing Cream after it. If a cloudy film remains on oily skin, wash once more with the foam.

Is VVBETTER Jeju Yuja Cera Balancing Cream enough moisturizer for oily skin?

For most oily and combination skin, yes: VVBETTER Jeju Yuja Cera Balancing Cream is a cool, water-type gel-cream that absorbs lightly without shine. Ceramide NP in microcapsules melts into the skin as you apply, and zinc PCA, Jeju yuja, centella, tea tree leaf oil and peppermint oil (0.01% each, for a light cooling feel) keep it fresh.

If some areas also feel dry, apply it over the Teca Lifting Moisture Serum.

Which VVBETTER products help with blackheads and enlarged-looking pores?

For blackheads, whiteheads and enlarged-looking pores, VVBETTER suggests the Gentle Purifying Mud Mask once or twice a week, with kaolin and bentonite clay to take up oil and buildup. Day to day, the AHA Boosting Toner or the Jeju Yuja Balancing Pad clears dead surface cells, and the Jeju Yuja Succinic Balancing Serum helps refine the look of pores and shine.

Avoid scrubbing or doubling up on strong acids: steady, gentle care works better for pores than harsh care.

Are VVBETTER Green Line products suitable for teenagers?

Yes. The VVBETTER product guide recommends the Green Line, including the Jeju Yuja Balancing Bubble Cleanser, Jeju Yuja Balancing Pad, Jeju Yuja Succinic Balancing Serum and Jeju Yuja Cera Balancing Cream, from the late teens onward for oily and breakout-prone skin. Cleansing and double cleansing

Oil, foam or bubble? Which VVBETTER cleanser does which job, and the order to use them on makeup and sunscreen days.

See the routines →

What order do I double cleanse with VVBETTER products?

For a VVBETTER double cleanse, start with Gentle Deep Cleansing Oil on a dry face, then wash with a water-based cleanser: 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam for dry or sensitive skin, or Jeju Yuja Balancing Bubble Cleanser for oily or breakout-prone skin. Double cleanse in the evening on days you wore makeup or sunscreen; on a bare-skin morning, one water-based cleanser is enough.

After full makeup, the VVBETTER product guide uses all three in this order: Cleansing Oil, 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam, then Bubble Cleanser.

How do I use the VVBETTER Gentle Deep Cleansing Oil?

Use VVBETTER Gentle Deep Cleansing Oil on dry hands and a dry face: 2–3 pumps, massaged for about a minute to dissolve makeup and sunscreen. Add a little warm water until it turns milky, rinse, then cleanse again with a water-based cleanser.

It is 81.6% plant oils (21 oils, led by sunflower seed oil at 76.4%) with emulsifiers, which is why it rinses clean. A 200 ml bottle lasts about two months used once a day.

Can oily or breakout-prone skin use a cleansing oil?

Yes. VVBETTER Gentle Deep Cleansing Oil removes excess oil, makeup and sunscreen without scrubbing, then emulsifies with water and rinses off. Follow it with the Jeju Yuja Balancing Bubble Cleanser or 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam. In a 24-hour human patch test at Global Medical Research Center (January 2023) it scored an irritation index of 0.00; patch-test first if your skin reacts easily.

5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam or Jeju Yuja Bubble Cleanser: which should I choose?

Choose VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam for dry or sensitive skin and Jeju Yuja Balancing Bubble Cleanser for oily or breakout-prone skin. Both are low-pH cleansers with coconut-derived surfactants. The 5.5 Foam (Blue Line) is a creamy foam with 0.5% citric acid; the Bubble Cleanser (Green Line) pumps out a fine foam and adds 0.5% salicylic acid (BHA) and zinc PCA to 0.62% citric acid.

Using both is fine: the product guide lists them as partners after makeup.

Does the VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam remove makeup?

VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam handles light makeup and everyday sunscreen on its own. For heavier or long-wear makeup, use Gentle Deep Cleansing Oil first and the foam as your second cleanse.

Why does cleanser pH matter?

Skin sits in a mildly acidic range, and many foaming cleansers are alkaline, which is part of why skin can feel tight after washing. VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam is formulated at pH 5.5, and the Jeju Yuja Balancing Bubble Cleanser is also low pH, so they cleanse without pushing skin far from its own range.

Routines and layering

Step order, how many drops, and how to layer the three Solution serums, including a split plan for very sensitive skin.

Compare the three serums →

What order do I apply toner, pads, serum and cream?

The VVBETTER order is cleanser, then toner or pad, then serum, then cream, then eye cream, and sunscreen as the final morning step. Masks slot in by type: the Gentle Purifying Mud Mask goes after cleansing and before toner; the Rejuvenating Squalane Mask goes after toner and before cream.

A simple rule: thinnest texture first, richest last, and wait a few seconds between layers so each one settles.

How do I layer the three VVBETTER Solution serums?

Layer the VVBETTER Solution serums in this order: Jeju Yuja Succinic Balancing Serum (REFINE), then Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum (REGLOW), then Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum (REWIND), and sunscreen in the daytime. When you combine all three, use a small amount of each, about 1–2 drops; used alone, each serum takes 2–3 drops.

For very sensitive or thin skin, do not use all three in one routine. Split them instead: Succinic in the morning and Vita C TRX or Bakuchiol PDRN in the evening.

What is a simple VVBETTER morning routine?

A simple VVBETTER morning routine has five steps: cleanse (5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam or Jeju Yuja Balancing Bubble Cleanser), wipe with AHA Boosting Toner or a Jeju Yuja Balancing Pad, apply one serum, then Teca Lifting Moisture Cream or Jeju Yuja Cera Balancing Cream, and finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen. If you are working on dark spots, make the serum the Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum.

What is a VVBETTER evening routine?

A VVBETTER evening routine starts with a double cleanse on makeup or sunscreen days (Gentle Deep Cleansing Oil, then a foam), then toner or pad, your serum, cream and the Firming Eye Cream. Two or three evenings a week, add a mask: the Rejuvenating Squalane Mask for moisture or the Gentle Purifying Mud Mask for oil and pores.

What is the VVBETTER Blue Line routine, and how can I try it?

The VVBETTER Blue Line routine is four steps for dry, sensitive or dehydrated skin: 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam, AHA Boosting Toner on a cotton pad, Teca Lifting Moisture Serum, then Teca Lifting Moisture Cream, morning and evening.

To try it, the Travel Kit Blue holds all four in travel sizes (20 ml foam, 30 ml toner, 10 ml serum, 10 ml cream). The kit minis are made to their own formulas, so their ingredient lists differ slightly from the full sizes.

What is the VVBETTER Green Line routine for oily skin?

The VVBETTER Green Line routine for oily, combination and breakout-prone skin is: Jeju Yuja Balancing Bubble Cleanser, then Jeju Yuja Balancing Pad, then Jeju Yuja Succinic Balancing Serum, then Jeju Yuja Cera Balancing Cream, with sunscreen in the morning. Once or twice a week, add the Gentle Purifying Mud Mask after cleansing.

What is a good VVBETTER routine for mature skin?

For mature skin focused on firmness and fine lines, a VVBETTER routine is: Gentle Deep Cleansing Oil and 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam in the evening, AHA Boosting Toner, Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum, Teca Lifting Moisture Cream and Firming Eye Cream, with sunscreen in the morning. Add the Rejuvenating Squalane Mask two or three evenings a week for extra moisture.

How should very sensitive skin split actives between morning and night?

With very sensitive skin, use one VVBETTER serum per routine instead of layering: for example Jeju Yuja Succinic Balancing Serum in the morning and Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum or Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum at night. Introduce one new product at a time, patch-test for two nights, and if you use retinoids or other acids, start the AHA Boosting Toner or Balancing Pad every other day.

How many drops of serum should I use?

Use 2–3 drops of a VVBETTER serum on its own, or about 1–2 drops of each when you layer all three Solution serums. Place a drop on the forehead and on each cheek, spread over the face and pat gently to help it absorb. More is not better: the next layer sits better on a thin, even film.

Mixing actives: retinol, acids and vitamin C

What to combine, what to keep apart, and when to ask a professional first.

Read about AHA and BHA →

Can I use VVBETTER serums with retinol?

Yes, but keep them in separate routines: for example, VVBETTER Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum in the morning and your retinol at night. When you use a retinoid, also start the AHA Boosting Toner, Jeju Yuja Balancing Pad and Jeju Yuja Balancing Bubble Cleanser every other day and wear sunscreen every morning.

If your retinoid is prescribed, ask the prescriber before adding new actives.

Is bakuchiol safe to use with vitamin C?

Yes. VVBETTER designed the Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum (bakuchiol) and the Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum (with a vitamin C derivative) to be layered: Vita C TRX first, then Bakuchiol PDRN, about 1–2 drops each. If your skin is very sensitive, use them in different routines instead, for example Vita C TRX in the morning and Bakuchiol PDRN at night.

Can I use VVBETTER serums with AHA or BHA products?

VVBETTER serums layer well with each other, but we do not recommend combining them with strong AHA or BHA products in the same routine, especially leave-on BHA, as this may cause irritation. VVBETTER's own acid steps are kept at daily-use levels (the AHA Boosting Toner is 0.62% at pH 5.5), and they come before the serum.

Can I use the VVBETTER AHA Boosting Toner every day?

Yes. VVBETTER AHA Boosting Toner is formulated for daily use, morning and evening: its exfoliating acids total 0.62% (lactic acid 0.45%, glycolic acid 0.07% and betaine salicylate 0.1%) at pH 5.5, a daily toner level rather than a peel. Wipe it on with a cotton pad, not your hands. If acids are new to you or you use retinoids, start every other day, and use sunscreen in the morning.

A 200 ml bottle lasts about 1 to 1.5 months of daily use.

Do I need a separate vitamin C or niacinamide serum with VVBETTER?

Usually not. Several VVBETTER products already contain them: the Teca Lifting Moisture Serum has vitamin C and 2% niacinamide, the Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum a vitamin C derivative and 2% niacinamide, the Jeju Yuja Succinic Balancing Serum 2% niacinamide, and the Teca Lifting Moisture Cream 2% niacinamide.

Adding more of the same ingredient rarely helps; one well-chosen serum used consistently does more.

Can I use VVBETTER after a facial, peel or laser treatment?

Ask the professional who treated you first. VVBETTER products are cosmetics and should not go on broken or freshly treated skin. Once you are cleared to resume skincare, patch-test before first use and reintroduce acids (the AHA Boosting Toner, Balancing Pad and Bubble Cleanser) last.

Can I use VVBETTER products while pregnant or breastfeeding?

VVBETTER products are cosmetics, not medicines, but we cannot give medical advice, so please check with your doctor first. Every product page lists the full ingredients so you can show them to your doctor, including bakuchiol, tranexamic acid and the salicylic acid in the Jeju Yuja Balancing Bubble Cleanser.

Ingredients, explained

What the patented complexes are, what ppm means on our labels, and why many VVBETTER formulas replace water with plant water.

Browse the ingredient library →

What does ppm mean on VVBETTER products?

On VVBETTER labels, ppm means parts per million: 10,000 ppm is 1% of the formula. For patented complexes such as MELAWAY, AIO Marine Plant PDRN and ACZERO, the figure is the amount of the complex raw material, not of one pure active.

Totals such as 65,100 ppm of dark spot actives are the sum of the listed ingredients, not an efficacy score.

Why do VVBETTER formulas use plant water instead of purified water?

Several VVBETTER products replace purified water, the largest single part of most formulas, with a plant water or extract: 72% sea buckthorn water in the Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum, 60% aloe vera leaf water in the Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum, 60% Korean bamboo water in the Jeju Yuja Succinic Balancing Serum, 73% green tea water in the Firming Eye Cream and 53% centella extract in the Teca Lifting Moisture Cream.

That way the base itself adds moisture and comfort instead of being filler.

What is MELAWAY™?

MELAWAY™ is a patented complex (Korean patent No. 10-2539209) in VVBETTER Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum, made from white water lily flower, lemon myrtle leaf and apple extracts as a source of vitamins B and C. It is included at 1% (10,000 ppm) of the complex raw material to support a clearer, more radiant-looking complexion.

What is ACZERO™?

ACZERO™ is a patented complex (Korean patent No. 10-2055098) in VVBETTER Jeju Yuja Succinic Balancing Serum, made from seven plant extracts: green tea, centella leaf, brown seaweed (Okinawa mozuku), bergamot leaf, pine leaf, coffee seed and white willow bark. It is included at 1,000 ppm of the complex raw material to help skin look calmer, more balanced and less shiny.

What is MOISTURE TM B?

MOISTURE TM B is a patented high-molecular plant complex (Korean patent No. 10-2512471) in the VVBETTER Jeju Yuja Balancing Pad and Jeju Yuja Cera Balancing Cream, at 0.5% (5,000 ppm). Based on raw material characteristics, it forms a thin moisture film on the skin to help soothe and hydrate.

What is PHA, and how is it different from AHA and BHA?

PHA (gluconolactone), used in the VVBETTER Jeju Yuja Balancing Pad and Succinic Balancing Serum, is an exfoliating acid with a larger molecule than AHA or BHA. It works at the skin's surface and absorbs more slowly, which is why VVBETTER chose it for products meant for sensitive skin. It also draws in moisture.

More in our PHA guide.

What does zinc PCA do in the Green Line?

Zinc PCA appears across the VVBETTER Green Line (Bubble Cleanser, Balancing Pad, Succinic Balancing Serum and Cera Balancing Cream) to help keep excess oil and shine in check. It pairs with Jeju yuja extract and gentle acids for skin that is oily and sensitive at the same time.

What are ceramide capsules?

The ceramide capsules in VVBETTER Jeju Yuja Cera Balancing Cream are ceramide NP held in microcapsules (5,000 ppm of capsules). They melt softly into the skin as you apply and stay on the surface for longer, so the cream can stay a light gel without a heavy base. More in our ceramides guide.

Is there animal placenta in VVBETTER products?

No. The "phyto placenta" in VVBETTER Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum and the Rejuvenating Squalane Mask is edelweiss callus culture extract (Leontopodium Alpinum Callus Culture Extract), a plant ingredient. In the serum it works alongside niacinamide for a smoother, more radiant look.

Where does VVBETTER's squalane come from?

The squalane in the VVBETTER Rejuvenating Squalane Mask is plant-derived, extracted from olives. Squalane also appears in the Firming Eye Cream, the Gentle Purifying Mud Mask, the Gentle Deep Cleansing Oil and the Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum. More in our squalane guide.

What is Jeju yuja, and why is it in the Green Line?

Jeju yuja (Citrus junos) is a Korean citrus grown on Jeju Island and naturally rich in vitamin C. VVBETTER uses its extract across the Green Line for clearer-looking, smoother skin, together with zinc PCA and gentle acids. Read the full story in our Jeju yuja guide.

Textures, storage and shelf life

White powder, crystals, colour changes and how long each product keeps: what is normal, and what to do.

After your order arrives →

How should I store VVBETTER skincare, and how long does it keep?

Store VVBETTER products in a cool place away from direct sunlight, with lids closed. Use them within 12 months of opening; unopened, they keep for 36 months from the date of manufacture. The exceptions: the Jeju Yuja Balancing Pad jar is best used within 6 months of opening, and an opened Pad Mini Set pouch or Squalane Mask sheet should be used right away.

Check the open-jar symbol on each package for the exact period.

There is white powder around the neck of my serum. Is that normal?

Yes. In VVBETTER Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum (tranexamic acid 3%) and Jeju Yuja Succinic Balancing Serum (succinic acid 2%), a little of the active can crystallise around the bottle neck when it meets air. It is harmless: wipe it off and keep using the serum.

My Succinic serum arrived with crystals in it. Is it still OK?

Yes. Succinic acid and niacinamide in VVBETTER Jeju Yuja Succinic Balancing Serum can form crystals below −5°C, for example during a winter delivery. It is temporary: leave the bottle at room temperature for about a day and it returns to normal. The product is safe to use.

Shop the productJeju Yuja Succinic Balancing Serum 30ml$24.00

My Bakuchiol PDRN Serum looks separated or lighter in colour. Is it OK?

Yes. VVBETTER Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum contains natural pigments, so at rest the oil layer and colour can separate, and long exposure to light can fade the colour. Shake the bottle before each use; the quality is not affected. The Jeju Yuja Succinic Balancing Serum and Bubble Cleanser also contain natural colourants, so give the cleanser a light shake too.

Shop the productFirming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum 30ml$24.00

Do VVBETTER products contain fragrance?

It depends on the product, so VVBETTER lists every ingredient on each product page. The Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum has no added fragrance (you may notice the light scent of its raw materials), while the 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam has a light added fragrance. The Jeju Yuja Cera Balancing Cream contains small amounts of peppermint and tea tree leaf oil (0.01% each) for a cool feel.

What do VVBETTER textures feel like?

VVBETTER textures are light by design. The Solution serums are lightweight and non-sticky; the Teca Lifting Moisture Serum is bouncy and moist; the Teca cream absorbs quickly with a soft glow rather than shine; the Jeju Yuja Cera Balancing Cream is a cool water-type gel-cream. The 5.5 Foam whips up like cream, the Bubble Cleanser pumps out a fine foam, and the Cleansing Oil turns milky when it meets water.

How long does each VVBETTER product last?

With daily use, VVBETTER estimates: AHA Boosting Toner (200 ml) about 1–1.5 months, Teca Lifting Moisture Serum (30 ml) about a month to six weeks morning and evening, Teca Lifting Moisture Cream (50 ml) about a month, and Gentle Deep Cleansing Oil (200 ml) about two months once a day. The Jeju Yuja Balancing Pad jar holds 120 pads, and the Rejuvenating Squalane Mask box holds 5 sheets.

Can I take VVBETTER skincare on a plane?

Yes, the travel formats are made for it. Each item in VVBETTER Travel Kit Blue holds 30 ml or less (70 ml in total), and the Jeju Yuja Balancing Pad Mini Set comes in individually sealed 7 ml pouches. Carry-on liquid rules vary by airport and airline, so check the rules for your route before you fly.

About VVBETTER: brand, vegan and testing

Who makes VVBETTER, what the name means, and which products carry vegan, cruelty-free and low-irritation marks.

Read our story →

Who makes VVBETTER, and where is it made?

VVBETTER is a Korean skincare brand, made in Korea since 2021 by Unibliss Co., Ltd., a company founded in Seoul in 2019. Today it is a collection of 17 products in four lines, sold in 30+ countries through 35+ distribution partners and in our own store, which ships from Seoul.

VVBETTER has taken part in 12+ international beauty expos. Meet the company behind the brand.

What does the name VVBETTER mean?

VVBETTER joins "very-very" and "better": a simple promise that your skin gets better the more consistently you care for it. The small dot above the V stands for a moment of focus, a pause in an ordinary day to be present with your skin. That is where our phrases come from: every day, very very better, and very you, very better.

Read our story.

What does mindful skincare mean at VVBETTER?

Mindful skincare is VVBETTER's way of making products: clean and thoughtful formulations, a mindful approach free from unnecessary or harsh components, and at least six months of dedicated development for every product. Our belief is simple: skin doesn't need more, it needs better. Every product page shows the full formula, how to use it and who it suits, so you can choose deliberately.

Is VVBETTER vegan?

Many VVBETTER products carry a vegan certification mark, but not all of them. With a vegan mark: the three Solution serums (Vita C TRX, Bakuchiol PDRN, Succinic), Gentle Deep Cleansing Oil, 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam, Rejuvenating Squalane Mask, Jeju Yuja Balancing Pad and Pad Mini Set, Jeju Yuja Cera Balancing Cream and Jeju Yuja Balancing Bubble Cleanser.

Without a vegan mark: AHA Boosting Toner, Teca Lifting Moisture Serum, Teca Lifting Moisture Cream, Firming Eye Cream, Gentle Purifying Mud Mask and Travel Kit Blue as a set. Each product page names its certification.

Is VVBETTER cruelty-free?

Yes. Every VVBETTER product carries the Cruelty Free mark, and every product is made in a GMP-certified facility. See our standards page for how we name certifications and tests product by product.

Are VVBETTER products tested for skin irritation?

Yes. VVBETTER products completed human skin low-irritation tests, and we publish the index where we have it (lower is gentler): Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum 0.00, Gentle Deep Cleansing Oil 0.00, Rejuvenating Squalane Mask 0.00, Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum 0.03 and Jeju Yuja Succinic Balancing Serum 0.03.

The Jeju Yuja Cera Balancing Cream, Jeju Yuja Balancing Bubble Cleanser and the four Travel Kit Blue items also completed a skin low-irritation test. Everyone's skin is different, so patch-test if yours reacts easily.

What does "functional cosmetic" mean on VVBETTER products?

A functional cosmetic is a Korean regulatory category: products containing ingredients listed by Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) for purposes such as brightening or wrinkle care, notified to the MFDS. VVBETTER Dark Spot Solution Vita C TRX Serum and Firming Bakuchiol PDRN Serum are notified as dual-functional cosmetics for brightening and wrinkle care (July 2025), and the Jeju Yuja Balancing Bubble Cleanser as a functional cosmetic (October 2024).

Outside Korea they are sold as cosmetics; they are not medicines.

Where can I find VVBETTER outside this store?

VVBETTER is sold in 30+ countries through 35+ distribution partners, and we regularly exhibit at international beauty expos. See where to find VVBETTER and our exhibitions; for trade enquiries, visit wholesale.

Are VVBETTER reviews and creator videos genuine?

VVBETTER does not pay for reviews. Customer reviews are kept separate from creator content, and creator clips are labelled as creator content with the original source available. Each product page links to its own video guide, and you can read or add reviews on our reviews page.
