The short answer
Both routines follow the same logic: cleanse, then thinner products, then richer ones. The morning ends with sunscreen, and the evening starts with an oil cleanse only on days you wore makeup or sunscreen. Many products appear in both routines; what changes is the cleansing, the sunscreen and the optional extras. Use the shorter version whenever you are short on time.
The rule behind the order
You apply skincare from the lightest, most watery texture to the richest, because a thick cream applied first can stop a thin serum from spreading properly. That gives a general sequence: cleanse, toner or pad, serum, moisturizer, then sunscreen in the morning. Eye cream, masks and an oil cleanser slot in around it. The order is a convention, not a law, and any step you do not use simply drops out. Taking the order slowly, one layer at a time, is the practical side of mindful skincare.
Which line each step comes from
The shelves below mix steps from all three lines, which is normal once you have a base. Here is how the lines divide the work.
- Blue Line, base skincare. Foam, toner, serum and cream: the daily steps for HYDRATION, soothing and the skin barrier, written for dry, sensitive or dehydrated skin. Most of the shelf below starts here.
- Purple Line, extra skincare. Eye cream, oil cleanser, sunscreen and masks: the steps you add for firmness, ELASTICITY and REGENERATION, including for mature skin. They sit around the base rather than replacing it.
- Green Line (Jeju Yuja), purify and balance. Bubble cleanser, pad, Cera Balancing Cream and the Succinic serum: a lighter, fresher set for oily, combination or sensitive skin, aimed at BALANCE, TEXTURE CARE and the skin barrier. Use it as your base, or swap a single step into the Blue one.
A morning shelf
The morning is about a light cleanse and protection. Here is a full version using VVBETTER products; use as many steps as you actually want.
- Cleanse. 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam (Blue Line, low pH 5.5 with centella): about 1–2 cm into wet palms, massage 1–2 minutes, rinse with lukewarm water. If you prefer the Green Line, Jeju Yuja Balancing Bubble Cleanser, a mild AHA & BHA cleanser with Jeju yuja and zinc PCA, is shaken gently and pumped 2–3 times into wet hands, then massaged for about 30 seconds.
- Toner or pad (optional). AHA Boosting Toner (mild AHA & BHA at neutral pH 5.5, with centella) on a cotton pad, swept over a dry face and neck, avoiding the eyes; or one Jeju Yuja Balancing Pad (Jeju yuja, zinc PCA and PHA) along the skin.
- Serum (optional). The Blue Line base serum is Teca Lifting Moisture Serum (8 types of peptides, hyaluronic acid, centella asiatica); the Solution serums REGLOW, REWIND and REFINE each add one focus. 2–3 drops from the dropper, pressed over the face with your palms.
- Moisturizer. A pea-sized amount of Teca Lifting Moisture Cream (centella asiatica, hyaluronic acid and peptides), or a little cream from the tube if you use the Green Line Cera Balancing Cream (ceramides and zinc PCA, for the skin barrier).
- Sunscreen. Last, in a generous amount. Makeup comes after. VVBETTER's Daily Airfit Sunscreen is not offered in the United States, so use a sunscreen you already like.

An evening shelf
The evening has more room: you remove the day first, then use the products you want to give time to. It is a natural place for a moment of focus, which is the idea behind the dot above the V in VVBETTER.
- Oil cleanse, on makeup or sunscreen days. Gentle Deep Cleansing Oil (Purple Line; sunflower seed and jojoba seed oils with squalane and centella): 2–3 pumps on dry hands and a dry face, massage for about a minute, add a little warm water until it turns milky, then rinse.
- Water-based cleanse. The foam or bubble cleanser, as above.
- Toner or pad. The same as in the morning; the pad can also be laid on cheeks or forehead for 3–5 minutes as a quick pack.
- Serum. 2–3 drops. Evening is a good time for a serum if you are adding one slowly.
- Moisturizer. The cream again.
- Eye cream, if you use one. Firming Eye Cream (Purple Line; bakuchiol, squalane and niacinamide) is the last skincare step: twist the bottle, press once, and dot it around the eyes without touching the eyes themselves.

Morning and evening side by side
| Step | Morning | Evening |
|---|---|---|
| Oil cleanser | Not needed | Only on days with makeup or sunscreen |
| Foam or bubble cleanser | Yes, or a rinse if your skin prefers it | Yes; the second cleanse after oil |
| Toner or pad | Optional | Optional; acid toner every other day if new to acids |
| Serum | Optional, 2–3 drops | Optional, 2–3 drops |
| Moisturizer | Yes | Yes |
| Eye cream | Optional | Optional |
| Sunscreen | Yes, last step | No |
| Mud mask (Gentle Purifying Mud Mask) | No | 1–2 times a week, after cleansing and before toner |
| Sheet mask (Rejuvenating Squalane Mask) | No | 2–3 times a week, after toner, then cream |
Same product, different hour
The Teca cream and the dropper serums are directed for both morning and evening. A few products need a note on when they sit best.
- Acid toner and pads. They can be used daily, morning and evening, but if you are new to acids, or use retinoids or other acids, start every other day, and always follow with sunscreen in the morning.
- Vita C TRX Serum. The maker advises against using it together with strong acid products such as AHA or BHA toners. If you use both, you could keep them in separate parts of your week; that is a suggestion, not a requirement.
- Bakuchiol PDRN Serum. Shake it well before use. In the morning, follow with sunscreen.
- Mud mask. Use it on a clean, dry face for 10–15 minutes, avoiding eyes and mouth, then rinse; dry or normal skin once a week, oily skin once or twice.
- Several serums. The three Solution serums layer in the order Succinic, Vita C TRX, then Bakuchiol PDRN. Very sensitive or thin skin is directed to use one serum per routine, for example Succinic in the morning and Vita C TRX or Bakuchiol PDRN at night.
Quick answers
Do I need a different product in the morning and evening?
No. A cleanser, a serum and a moisturizer can stay the same. The differences are the oil cleanse, which belongs in the evening, and sunscreen, which belongs in the morning.
Which step do I skip when I am short on time?
Skip the optional steps: toner, serum, masks. A cleanse and a moisturizer is a complete routine, and the evening cleanse matters most after a day in makeup or sunscreen. If you are building the routine from scratch, A routine, not a rulebook shows what to add first.
How long should I wait between layers?
Let each layer settle so it no longer feels wet before the next one. Press rather than rub. There is no fixed number of seconds that works for every product and every skin.
Where does a mask go?
On the days you use one, after cleansing: a clay mask before toner, a sheet mask after toner. A mask is a moment. Set a timer covers the timing.
