    WHY THIS STEP?

    Hydration care, with context.

Skin sits in a mildly acidic range, so we formulated the foam at pH 5.5 rather than an alkaline range. The main cleansers are coconut-derived — sodium cocoyl isethionate and sodium methyl cocoyl taurate — and they give a rich, whipped-cream foam. A low 0.5% citric acid helps skin look smoother after rinsing, and beta-glucan, hyaluronic acid and ceramide NP mean it does not feel tight afterwards. Centella and tea tree are there for skin that feels reactive.

    RECOMMENDED ROUTINE

    From cleanse to cream

    1. 01 First cleanse (makeup days)

      Gentle Deep Cleansing Oil 200ml

On evenings with makeup or sunscreen only. Pump 2–3 times onto dry palms and massage over a dry face for about a minute. Add a little lukewarm water until it turns milky, then rinse off.

    2. 02 CleanserThis product
5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam — front packshot, 120 ml blue tube with white flip cap

      5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam 120ml

Squeeze about 1–2 cm onto wet palms and work it with a little water into a rich, creamy foam. Massage gently over the face for 1–2 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. Finish with a cool-water rinse for a fresh feel. Keep it away from the eye area.

    3. 03 Toner

      AHA Boosting Toner 200ml

Soak a cotton pad with a proper amount of toner and sweep it over the face and neck along the skin's texture, avoiding the eye area. Let it absorb. Wipe it on rather than leaving soaked pads on the skin. New to acids? Start every other day.

    4. 04 Serum

      Teca Lifting Moisture Serum 30ml

Draw up with the dropper. Place one drop on the forehead and one on each cheek (2–3 drops in all), then press gently over the whole face until absorbed.

    5. 05 Cream

      Teca Lifting Moisture Cream 50ml

Scoop a pea-sized amount with the spatula. Smooth it over face and neck and massage gently in circles until absorbed. Use a little more where skin feels dry. In the morning, follow with sunscreen.

    Your formula,
    explained.

The main cleansers are coconut-derived — sodium cocoyl isethionate and sodium methyl cocoyl taurate — and they give a rich, whipped-cream foam. WHAT’S INSIDE

Coconut-derived surfactants — sodium cocoyl isethionate (SCI) and sodium methyl cocoyl taurate: mild cleansers known for a dense, creamy foam that doesn't over-dry. pH 5.5 — mildly acidic, close to the skin's own range, instead of an alkaline cleanse. Citric acid 0.5% (5,000 ppm) — AHA — helps lift dead surface cells so skin looks smoother after rinsing. Beta-glucan, hyaluronic acid, ceramide NP — so skin feels hydrated, not stripped. Centella asiatica (cica) and tea tree extracts — for skin that feels reactive, with gypsophila root, willow bark, fig, dandelion leaf and calendula extracts and lotus flower water (+43).

    DAILY ROUTINE

How to get the best from it.

    When
Morning and evening, as your cleansing step. On makeup or sunscreen evenings, use it as your second cleanse.
    How often
Daily, up to twice a day.
    How much
A small amount, about 1–2 cm, squeezed onto wet palms.
    For the best result
Work it into a rich foam with a little water before it touches your face. Massage for 1–2 minutes, rinse with lukewarm water, then finish with cool water. It removes light makeup and everyday sunscreen on its own. For heavier or long-wear makeup, take it off with a first cleanse before using the foam. Keep it away from your eyes, and if foam gets in, rinse with water. If your skin is very reactive, try it on the jawline first.
    Storage
Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children. Use within 12 months of opening. The expiry date is printed on the package.

    Why pH 5.5

pH 5.5, close to skin's own range.

Skin sits in a mildly acidic range, and many foaming cleansers are alkaline, which is part of why skin can feel tight after washing. This foam is formulated at pH 5.5, so it cleanses without pushing skin far from its own balance.

    Questions & answers

    Good questions.

What shoppers and AI assistants ask most about 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam.

What is VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam?

VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam is a 120 mL (4.06 fl.oz) pH 5.5 foam cleanser from the Blue Line. It removes impurities, makeup and dead surface cells with coconut-derived cleansers and 0.5% citric acid (AHA), and leaves skin feeling soft rather than tight.

Which skin types is it for?

VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam suits all skin types and was made with sensitive skin in mind. It is the natural pick for dry or sensitive skin that feels tight after washing; for oily or combination skin, the Jeju Yuja Balancing Bubble Cleanser is the Green Line option.

How is it different from the Jeju Yuja Bubble Cleanser?

Choose VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam for dry or sensitive skin and the Jeju Yuja Balancing Bubble Cleanser for oily or combination skin. Both are low-pH cleansers; the 5.5 Foam is a creamy tube foam with 0.5% citric acid, while the Bubble Cleanser pumps out a fine foam with 0.62% citric acid, 0.5% salicylic acid and zinc PCA.

    Is it vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes. VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam carries the VEGAN PRODUCT and Cruelty Free marks in the VVBETTER brand brochure, and every VVBETTER product is made in a GMP-certified facility.

    Who makes it?

VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam is made in the Republic of Korea by Kolmar, as printed in the product information.

    Does it have a scent?

VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam has a light added fragrance; fragrance is on the ingredient list. If you prefer fragrance-free cleansers, check the full list first.

    Is there a travel size?

Yes. A 20 mL VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam comes in the Travel Kit Blue, together with the AHA Boosting Toner, Teca Lifting Moisture Serum and Teca Lifting Moisture Cream.

Why does pH 5.5 matter in a cleanser?

VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam is formulated at pH 5.5 because skin sits in a mildly acidic range. Many foaming cleansers are alkaline, which is part of why skin can feel tight afterwards; a low-pH foam cleanses without pushing skin far from its own range.

Which cleansers are in it? Is it sulfate-free?

VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam cleanses with coconut-derived sodium cocoyl isethionate (SCI) and sodium methyl cocoyl taurate, with potassium cocoate and potassium cocoyl glycinate. There are no sulfates in the ingredient list, and it still makes a dense, creamy foam.

There is AHA in a cleanser?

Yes, VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam contains 0.5% citric acid. It is a low, rinse-off level that helps lift dead surface cells so skin looks smoother, not a leave-on exfoliant. Using the AHA Boosting Toner after it is fine.

What keeps skin from feeling tight after washing?

In VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam, glycerin helps skin stay soft and hydrated, and beta-glucan, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid and ceramide NP keep the after-feel comfortable.

Which plant extracts are in it?

VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam contains centella asiatica and tea tree extracts, plus gypsophila root, willow bark, fig, dandelion leaf, calendula, honey, rice and kelp extracts, and lotus flower water.

    Does it remove makeup?

VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam handles light makeup and everyday sunscreen on its own. For heavier or long-wear makeup, use Gentle Deep Cleansing Oil first and the foam as your second cleanse.

What does the foam feel like?

VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam works up into a rich, cream-like foam with a little water. It feels light, rinses clean and doesn't leave skin tight.

Is it gentle enough for sensitive skin?

VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam was made for sensitive skin: pH 5.5, mild coconut-derived cleansers and a low rinse-off AHA, so it doesn't over-dry or leave a tight feeling. Skin differs, so if yours is very reactive, patch-test on the jawline first and stop if discomfort occurs.

    How do I use it?

Squeeze a small amount (about 1–2 cm) of VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam onto wet palms and work it into a rich foam. Massage gently over the face for 1–2 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water; a final cool-water rinse feels fresh.

    Morning, night or both?

Use VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam morning and evening, as your cleansing step. It is gentle enough for daily use, up to twice a day.

Where does it go in my routine?

VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam is the first step on a bare-skin morning: foam, then toner, serum and cream. On makeup or sunscreen days, use Gentle Deep Cleansing Oil first.

Which VVBETTER products go well with it?

The VVBETTER product guide pairs 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam with Gentle Deep Cleansing Oil (first cleanse), AHA Boosting Toner (next step) and the Jeju Yuja Balancing Bubble Cleanser. After full makeup on oily skin, the order is Cleansing Oil, 5.5 Foam, then Bubble Cleanser.

What if foam gets into my eyes?

Keep VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam away from the eye area; if foam gets into your eyes, rinse them with water. Avoid using it on broken or wounded skin.

Can I use it while pregnant?

VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam is a cosmetic, not a medicine, but we can't give medical advice. Please ask your doctor first and show them the full ingredient list below.

How should I store it, and how long does it keep?

Store VVBETTER 5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam in a cool place away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children. Use it within 12 months of opening; the expiry date is printed on the package.

    Does it ship free?
