The short answer
Yuja is a citrus fruit, and Jeju yuja extract appears across VVBETTER's Green Line: in the Bubble Cleanser, the Balancing Pad, the Succinic Balancing Serum and the Cera Balancing Cream. It is one ingredient among many in each formula. A fruit name is not a vitamin C claim, and none of these four products is a vitamin C serum. The Green Line is VVBETTER's Jeju Yuja line, positioned for purifying and balance in oily, combination and sensitive skin.

What yuja is
Yuja (Citrus junos) is a citrus fruit that is familiar in Korea from food, for example in yuja tea. In skincare it is used as an extract. Our Jeju yuja extract comes from yuja grown on Jeju Island, off Korea's south coast, which is where the "Jeju" in the product names comes from.
On an ingredient list you will see it written as Citrus Junos Fruit Extract. Lists are ordered by amount, and the extract is a small part of each formula. Only the Balancing Pad states its amount: Jeju yuja extract at 1,000 ppm, which is 0.1%. In the cleanser, serum and cream it is listed without a disclosed amount.
Where yuja appears, and what actually defines each product
A shared ingredient does not make products interchangeable. The Green Line uses Jeju yuja alongside zinc PCA and PHA, in light, fresh formulas meant to leave skin clean and smooth, with the keywords BALANCE, TEXTURE CARE and EXFOLIATION. It suits skin that is oily, combination or prone to breakouts, and it is also meant for sensitive skin. The table shows what each Green Line product is really built around.
| Product | Step | Yuja on the label | What defines the formula |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jeju Yuja Balancing Bubble Cleanser, 145 ml | Cleanse | Extract listed, amount not disclosed | pH 5.5 foam; citric acid (AHA) 0.62% and salicylic acid (BHA) 0.5%, rinsed off; zinc PCA |
| Jeju Yuja Balancing Pad, 120 pads | Toner | Extract at 1,000 ppm | PHA (gluconolactone) at a daily-use level; MOISTURE TM B 0.5%, a patented ingredient; zinc PCA |
| Jeju Yuja Succinic Balancing Serum, 30 ml | Serum | Extract listed, amount not disclosed | Succinic acid 2% and niacinamide 2% on a 60% bamboo water base; ACZERO 1,000 ppm, a patented plant-extract complex |
| Jeju Yuja Cera Balancing Cream, 50 ml | Moisturize | Extract listed, amount not disclosed | Ceramide capsules 0.5%; MOISTURE TM B 0.5%; a light gel-cream texture |
All four are vegan certified and made in Korea. The Succinic Balancing Serum also doubles as REFINE, the Green Line's entry in the Solution Series, with the keywords soothing, skin barrier and texture care. If you want the detail on one of them, our guides to the Bubble Cleanser, the Balancing Pad, the Succinic Serum and the Cera Cream each cover one product.
Is yuja a vitamin C ingredient?
Citrus is often associated with vitamin C, so the question is fair. Here is how we handle it.
- We list yuja by its ingredient name, Citrus Junos Fruit Extract. We do not publish a vitamin C amount for it, and we do not compare it with other fruits.
- We do not describe any Green Line product as a vitamin C serum. The extract is part of the line's identity and a supporting ingredient, not the formula's headline.
- The serum with "Vita C" in its name belongs to the Solution Series and is a different product. It is built on tranexamic acid at 3%, with a vitamin C derivative at 100 ppm, and it contains no yuja extract. 72% fruit water, not 72% vitamin C shows how to read that label.
When you meet a fruit name on a label, ask what role it plays: a headline active, or a supporting ingredient. Then find the amount, if one is stated, and the ingredients that define the formula.
How to use the Green Line in order

You do not need the whole line to enjoy any one product. If you do want to use all four, this is the order that suits them best:
- Bubble Cleanser. Shake lightly, press 2–3 pumps of foam into your hands, massage onto the face and rinse with lukewarm water.
- Balancing Pad. Sweep one pad over the skin after cleansing, avoiding the eye area. On a day when skin needs calming, rest the pad on the cheeks or forehead for 3–5 minutes, then pat in what remains.
- Succinic Balancing Serum. Dispense 2–3 drops over the whole face and pat until absorbed.
- Cera Balancing Cream. Squeeze a small amount from the tube, spread it over the face and pat until absorbed.
- Sunscreen in the morning. The cream is the last step before it.

A few cautions apply. The cleanser, pad and serum each contain mild acids, so patch-test on the jawline for two nights if acids are new to you. If you also use a leave-on AHA, BHA or retinoid, begin the pad every other day, and start the cleanser every other evening. The cream contains tea tree leaf oil and peppermint oil at 0.01% each, which gives a light cooling feel; very sensitive skin should check the ingredient list first. Introduce one new product at a time rather than all four in the same week.
Choosing where to start
Pick the step you feel is missing today, not the product with the most appealing name.
- Skin that feels oily or congested after cleansing: start with the Bubble Cleanser.
- A toner step with gentle exfoliation: start with the Balancing Pad, or try the Pad Mini Set, which uses the same ingredient list in 10 pads.
- A serum for skin that tends to get oily and congested: start with the Succinic Balancing Serum.
- A cream that stays light on oily, sensitive skin: start with the Cera Balancing Cream, whose ceramides support the skin barrier and whose peppermint and tea tree give a cooling feel.
The idea is the same across VVBETTER: a balanced blend of ingredients, gentle even on sensitive skin, with at least six months of development behind every product. These are Korean skincare formulas, made in Korea since 2021.
Quick answers
Is yuja the reason the products are called "Jeju Yuja"?
Yes. The name refers to the Jeju yuja extract, a citrus extract from Jeju Island. It is a supporting ingredient in each formula.
Which skin types is the Green Line for?
It is positioned for oily, combination and sensitive skin, including skin that is prone to breakouts. It is not a prescription line, and none of the products claims to treat a skin condition. Patch-test first if your skin reacts easily to acids.
Do I need to use all four Green Line products?
No. A complete matching shelf is optional. Each product works in its own step, and you can add one at a time.
Does the Green Line contain a vitamin C serum?
No. The extract is listed by its ingredient name, and no vitamin C amount is stated for it. For a serum built around a vitamin C derivative and tranexamic acid, see the Vita C TRX Serum in the Solution Series.
Is the Pad Mini Set the same formula as the 120-pad jar?
Yes. The ingredient lists are identical. The mini set holds 5 pouches of 2 pads each, 10 pads in total, so it is a way to try the pad before the larger jar.
