The short answer

Teca Lifting Moisture Serum is the dropper serum of the Blue Line, our base skincare line for hydration, soothing and skin barrier care. It is for all skin types, and its key points are 8 types of peptides, hyaluronic acid, centella asiatica (the Teca of the name) and collagen, with adenosine, niacinamide 2% (20,000 ppm), vitamin C and ceramide. Think hydration, elasticity, lifting and glow, for skin that looks less firm, dull or dehydrated. Use 2–3 drops after toner and before cream, morning and evening.

What the name means and who it suits

The name reads as a short ingredient list. "Teca" is the line name for centella (Centella asiatica), the soothing plant the whole line is built around, and the Blue Line itself is designed for intense hydration and calm for dry, sensitive or dehydrated skin. "Lifting" is the peptides, and "Moisture" is the beta-glucan and hyaluronic acid, with collagen and ceramide alongside. The result is a bouncy, moist serum that is not oily and leaves a soft glow rather than shine.

It is made for:

  • skin that looks less firm and wants a bouncier, lifted look, with fine lines;
  • rough, uneven or dehydrated-feeling skin that needs its hydration back;
  • a dull or tired-looking tone that would like a radiant, glowing finish.

It is for all skin types and for everyday use, and we suggest it from your late 20s, when hydration alone starts to feel like not quite enough. The line is designed to be gentle on sensitive skin too, but patch-test first if yours is reactive.

What is in it, grouped by job

Job Ingredient Amount What it is
The "lifting" half 8 peptides: nonapeptide-1, acetyl hexapeptide-8, copper tripeptide-1, tripeptide-1, palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7, palmitoyl tripeptide-1, palmitoyl pentapeptide-4, hexapeptide-9 8 types, amounts not disclosed Peptides are short chains of amino acids. Here they are for skin that looks less firm.
The line's plant Centella asiatica extract, with fig, kelp, eclipta and olive leaf extracts Listed, amounts not disclosed Plant extracts that run through the Teca line.
Tone Niacinamide 2% (20,000 ppm) A form of vitamin B3, for dull, uneven-looking tone.
Tone Pure vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and a vitamin C derivative (ascorbyl glucoside) Listed, amounts not disclosed Two forms of vitamin C, for a dull-looking tone.
Firmness-look support Adenosine Listed, amount not disclosed A compound found naturally in the body, for skin that looks firmer.
The "moisture" half Beta-glucan, sodium hyaluronate and hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, ceramide NP, soluble collagen, betaine Listed, amounts not disclosed Water-binding ingredients and a skin-identical lipid, for hydration with the feel of a comfortable barrier.

Purified water is the first ingredient, so this serum is not built on a plant-water base. Fragrance is on the ingredient list. There is no retinol and no mineral oil. This serum is not registered as a functional cosmetic, so we describe how skin looks and feels rather than make functional brightening or wrinkle claims. It lists adenosine and 2% niacinamide, with 8 peptides and vitamin C, plus centella, ceramide NP and collagen to support the skin barrier. Our note on TECA: read the formula, not just the name explains why we name the ingredients rather than the line.

Read the table against the serum's four themes. Hydration comes from beta-glucan, hyaluronic acid and ceramide NP; elasticity and lifting from the peptides and adenosine; glow from niacinamide, vitamin C and a finish that sits soft rather than shiny.

How to use it: one drop, three places

  1. Cleanse and tone. Use it after toner and before cream.
  2. Draw up the serum. Squeeze and release the dropper bulb.
  3. Place the drops. One on the forehead and one on each cheek makes 2–3 drops in all.
  4. Press in. Pat gently over the whole face until it is absorbed. It sinks in without leaving a film.
  5. Finish. Add cream, then sunscreen in the morning.

Use it daily, morning and evening. A 30 ml bottle lasts about a month to six weeks. For a pad tip, put 1–2 drops on a Jeju Yuja Balancing Pad before laying it on the face for 3–5 minutes. Use the bottle within 12 months of opening.

Patch test and cautions

If your skin is sensitive, or if peptides and niacinamide are new to you, patch-test on the jawline for two nights first. If redness, swelling or itching appears, including after sun exposure, stop using it and consult a specialist. Skip broken skin, and keep the bottle out of reach of children. Because fragrance is listed, check the ingredient list if you avoid it. Store it away from direct sunlight.

Where it fits in a routine

The Blue Line order is foam cleanser, toner, serum, cream. Put this serum after toner and before cream; the AHA Boosting Toner before it and Teca Lifting Moisture Cream after it are the line's own steps. It already contains vitamin C and 2% niacinamide, so you do not need another vitamin C serum on top. If you use an AHA toner or retinoid at night, apply this serum after the toner and before the cream.

A simple morning and evening pattern looks like this:

  • Morning: foam cleanser, toner, 2–3 drops of this serum, cream, sunscreen.
  • Evening: cleanse (use an oil first if you wore makeup or sunscreen), toner, 2–3 drops of this serum, cream.

Not sure what else belongs on your shelf? The routine builder walks through it.

Serum, cream or toner: the Blue Line compared

Product Step What stands out
Teca Lifting Moisture Serum Serum Lightweight dropper serum with 8 peptides
Teca Lifting Moisture Cream Moisturize Cream on a 53% centella extract base with 9 peptides
AHA Boosting Toner Tone Wipe-off toner with 0.62% AHA and BHA combined, pH 5.5
5.5 Soothing Cleansing Foam Cleanse The foam that starts the line

The serum is the lighter of the Teca pair, the cream is richer; both carry centella, adenosine and 2% niacinamide. Travel Kit Blue contains a 10 ml serum, but it is made to its own formula and is not identical; the Blue Kit is small, but not identical says how.

The Blue Line is the base of VVBETTER's mindful skincare: clean and thoughtful formulations, with at least six months of development behind each product, made in Korea since 2021.

Quick answers

How many drops do I use?

Two to three: one on the forehead and one on each cheek, then press over the whole face.

Is it a functional cosmetic?

No. It is not registered as one, so we do not make brightening or wrinkle claims for it.

Is it oily or sticky?

No. The texture is bouncy and moist, not oily, with a soft inner glow rather than shine.

Can I use it with the cream from the same line?

Yes. Serum first, then the cream.

Is it for sensitive skin?

It is for all skin types, and centella is in the formula to soothe. The Blue Line is designed for dry, sensitive and dehydrated skin. Because the serum contains peptides, niacinamide and vitamin C, patch-test on the jawline for two nights first if your skin is reactive.
